  • Sara Canady

Leadership, Presence, Results Sara Canady Leadership, Presence, Results A rare blend of analytical entrepreneur and perceptive warmth, Sara Canaday has a unique gift for helping high-potential professionals achieve their best. Sara began her journey working full-time while earning an MBA. As she climbed the ladder of corporate America, she repeatedly observed a surprising phenomenon: the most successful people weren’t necessarily the ones with the highest IQ or best job skills. She recognized, instead, that career advancement was much more closely linked to how people applied their knowledge and talents — their capacity to collaborate, communicate, and influence others. Because of this revelation early on, Sara developed an uncanny ability to pinpoint the pivotal attributes that could make or break a career, and she was able to convey that information in a compassionately candid way. Colleagues, subordinates, and superiors alike frequently approached Sara for her advice on overcoming career hurdles and developing strategies to increase their personal market value. Despite reaching an executive position in operations with a major company, Sara realized that helping others maximize their career potential was truly her life’s work. Today, Sara is happily fulfilling that commitment as a speaker , consultant, coach , author, and owner of her rapidly growing firm, Sara Canaday & Associates. Her firm has given her the opportunity to mentor and support thousands of people in diverse situations, inspiring many of them to move from insight to action with dramatic career results. Sara lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, Brandon; her daughter, Taylor; and her son, Cole. • Ross Bernstein

Sports Performance Expert: The Champion’s CODE Ross Bernstein Sports Performance Expert: The Champion’s CODE Ever wonder why certain teams win consistently, whereas others come up short? Ross explains WHY — in an engaging, high energy, and visually entertaining style that’s designed to improve YOUR organization’s productivity, morale, and bottom-line profitability… The best-selling author of nearly 50 sports books, Ross Bernstein is an award-winning business speaker who helps companies and organizations perform more like CHAMPIONS. Ross and his books have been featured on thousands of television and radio programs over the past 20 years, including CNN, MSNBC, CBS This Morning, FOX News, Bloomberg, ESPN, Sports Illustrated and the CBC, as well as in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, L.A. Times, USA Today, and Maxim Magazine. Ross’ signature program, “The Champion’s Code: Life Lessons of Ethics & Accountability from the Sports World to the Business World,” is based on more than six years of research that resulted in two critically acclaimed series of sports-business books. The first examines how and why certain teams win world championships; while the other chronicles the unwritten and unspoken rules in the world of sports, or “codes” as they are known, which explores the fine line between cheating and gamesmanship — and the consequences involved when that line is crossed. Ross interviewed more than 1,000 professional athletes and coaches for the six books and along the way he saw some fascinating patterns, metrics and trends develop among certain individuals who possessed a very unique DNA. For these unique individuals, or “champions,” it wasn’t always about winning, it was about following their moral compass in order to play the game the right way — with respect and integrity — in order to achieve success. In his presentation, Ross identifies upwards of 100 unique characteristics and traits that are common among champions, which he then ties into poignant life lessons and inspirational stories that relate back to his client’s event theme and desired learner outcomes. Based largely on the “Good to Great” ideology of how the best companies are able to separate themselves from the rest of the pack through dynamic leadership and extraordinary customer service, Ross’ program reinforces the concept that individuals win games, but TEAMS win championships. Momentum, roles, buy-in, motivation, consistency, sacrifice, trust, chemistry, work-ethic, innovation, karma, and being humble — they’re all a part of what it takes to become the best of the best — a champion both on and off the field. So… who are the champions in your organization? Let Ross customize a keynote (from one to six hours) to kick off your next annual conference, corporate event, or sales meeting — his PASSION and energy is contagious and he’d LOVE to be a member of YOUR team for the day! • Dan Jansen

American Speedskater, 1994 Winter Olympics Gold Medalist Dan Jansen American Speedskater, 1994 Winter Olympics Gold Medalist Dan Jansen is an iconic figure in the world of speed skating, known not only for his incredible athleticism but also for his resilience and determination in the face of adversity. By the time of the 1994 Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer, Jansen had already established himself as one of the sport's greatest competitors, with seven overall World Cup titles and seven world records to his name. However, his Olympic journey had been marked by heartbreak and disappointment. Jansen’s first Olympic appearance came in 1984, where he finished a heartbreaking fourth place in the 500m. He returned in 1988 as one of the favorites, but tragedy struck on the morning of the 500m event when his sister, Jane, passed away from leukemia. Despite the personal loss, Jansen attempted to race but fell in both the 500m and the 1,000m, leaving him empty-handed. In 1992, Jansen once again entered the Olympics as a favorite, but despite his skill, he could do no better than fourth place in the 500m and 26th in the 1,000m, further deepening his Olympic frustration. As he entered the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Jansen was the overwhelming favorite in the 500m event. However, in a cruel twist of fate, he slipped during his race and finished eighth, yet again falling short of an Olympic medal. At that point, Jansen had competed in seven Olympic events over the span of a decade without securing a single medal. But Jansen's story was far from over. His final chance for Olympic glory came in the 1,000m event, where six of his opponents had better times. Despite the odds, Jansen skated with remarkable focus and determination. He was on world-record pace when he stumbled during the penultimate turn. With incredible composure, he steadied himself and surged forward, ultimately crossing the finish line in 1:12.43, setting a new world record and winning his first-ever Olympic gold medal. Jansen’s triumph in Lillehammer was not just a victory in speed skating but a testament to the power of perseverance, turning years of heartbreak into an unforgettable moment of redemption.
